Yes — The Lost Codex is completely free to play and kept alive by the patronage of its readers. There are no paywalls and no pay-to-win; the reopened Codex stays open to everyone who answers the call.

Getting Started
Q. How do I start playing?
Three steps turn the first page. Visit the Downloads page and claim the build for your device, register an account, then log in and step into Mandara. The same account opens every gate, so you only ever sign up once.
Q. When is the official launch?
We are targeting Q2 2026 for the official launch on Google Play, the App Store and Steam, with the macOS client arriving alongside them. Until then you can already play through early access on Android, the iOS TestFlight, and the Steam alpha — and your progress carries over, no resets.

Q. What platforms can I play on?
The Lost Codex is cross-platform. Android and iOS are live now in early access — Android via direct APK (v2.5.1) and iOS via TestFlight (v2.5.1). The Steam build is in alpha (Q2 2026), and the official Google Play, App Store, Steam and macOS releases are coming Q2 2026.
Q. Is it cross-platform — one account?
Yes. One account, same world. Your character carries across every device with no resets and no second logins — begin a raid on your phone and pick it up at your desk exactly where you left the page.
Q. Can I play with friends on other devices?
Absolutely. Every seeker shares the same world with full cross-play, so you can group, trade, raid and wage faction war together no matter what device each of you carries into Mandara.
Q. How do I reset my password or manage my account?
All account management — password resets, account details and security — is handled through My Account. Sign in there to amend your credentials at any time.
Q. What are the system requirements?
The Codex is forged to run on a wide range of devices. Here is what each platform asks of you:

Q. Is the game pay-to-win?
No — The Lost Codex is strictly not pay-to-win. Anything offered for purchase is cosmetic or quality-of-life only; power and progression are earned in-world, page by page, and never bought.
Q. Are there factions and PvP?
Yes. Swear your oath to one of three gods and carry it into the eternal War of Kruma. Battle for control across the Kruma PvP fronts — Anaka, Vedi, High Kruma and the World Battle — climbing the karma ledger and the eighteen-tier caste-rank ladder.

Q. Will my progress ever be wiped?
No resets. Because it is one account on the same shared world, the character you build today is the character you keep — through early access and on into the official Q2 2026 launch.
