Upgrade Guide
Every weapon and piece of armour can climb from +0 to +15 at the Altar in Mandara temple. Each attempt burns a stone and Rupiah. Past +7 a failed upgrade can destroy the item, so read the stones, the aids and the Urn before you risk your best gear.
How an upgrade works
What a failure costs
The stones
The chance is for one attempt, listed rung by rung from the lowest level the stone accepts. The Urn and a voucher add to it.
| Stone | Works on | Chance per rung | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| +0 → +3 | 35 · 25 · 20 % | Coming soon | |
| +0 → +5 | 75 · 65 · 55 · 40 · 25 % | Jeweler Ashuri, Mandara · 10,000 Rupiah | |
| +0 → +8 | 100 · 100 · 85 · 70 · 60 · 50 · 35 · 5 % | Coming soon | |
| +0 → +9 | 100 % to +4, then 75 · 65 · 55 · 15 · 5 % | Coming soon | |
| +0 → +12 | 100 % to +7, then 75 · 45 · 25 · 15 · 5 % | Coming soon | |
| +0 → +9 | 100 % on every rung | Coming soon | |
| +9 → +12 | 100 % on every rung | Coming soon | |
| +12 → +15 | 25 · 15 · 5 % | Coming soon |
Gavi is the only stone that reaches +13, +14 and +15. At those rungs a fail destroys the item unless an aid protects it, so most smiths pair Gavi with Bedante.
Aids and vouchers
You can use one aid and one voucher on each attempt. The voucher slot only takes a chance boost or a fee cut, and two items that do the same thing can't go together.
| Item | Slot | What it does | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aid | A failed upgrade at +4 and up loses nothing | Coming soon | |
| Aid | A fail at +4 to +6 loses nothing; at +7 and up the item falls 6 levels instead of breaking | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 100,000 Rupiah | |
| Aid | A fail at +4 and up drops only 1 level | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 100,000 Rupiah | |
| Aid | A fail at +4 and up drops only 2 levels | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 100,000 Rupiah | |
| Aid | The stone is kept, pass or fail | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 60,000 Rupiah | |
| Aid | A success at +5 and up gives +2 instead of +1 | Coming soon | |
| Voucher | +5 points to the chance, then ×1.2 | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 100,000 Rupiah | |
| Voucher | The chance is doubled | Coming soon | |
| Voucher | The fee is cut in half | Goods Salesman Potava, Arena Durga · 5,000 Rupiah |
The fee
Every attempt costs Rupiah. The fee is based on the item's price and climbs steeply with its level. The Altar always shows the exact fee before you pay, and Nayate cuts it in half.
| Example: Crystal Sayaka | +0 → +1 | +4 → +5 | +7 → +8 | +9 → +10 | +12 → +13 | +14 → +15 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fee per attempt (Rupiah) | 30,000 | 543,584 | 1,266,727 | 1,892,872 | 3,035,423 | 3,927,222 |
The Urn
The Urn stands beside the Altar in Mandara. It is the smiths' pot, shared by the whole server, and it glows while the fire inside it burns, pulsing from red to blue. The fuller the Urn, the better every upgrade on the server.
Feeding it
Anyone can offer Rupiah or items. Items must be single pieces, not stacks or quest items, and they count at their shop price. The first half of the pot fills cheaply: about 2,250,000 Rupiah takes an empty Urn to half full. The second half costs ten times as much. What it gives
Every tenth of the pot adds +1 point to every upgrade roll on the server, up to +10 when it is full. The points are added to the stone's chance before a voucher multiplies it.It cools down
The fire burns the pot down all the time. A full Urn loses a point about every 21 minutes, so it needs feeding to stay hot. It is at its best when many smiths feed it together.Opening soon The Urn will open in an upcoming update. This section describes how it will work.
Upgrade transfer
Move a +15 onto a better item of the same kind: weapon to weapon, armour to the same part, shield to shield, charm to charm. The +15 donors are destroyed, and climbing to a higher tier takes more of them. A Forbidden +15 moves to a level 88 item one for one; to a level 98 item it takes two, to an Amara Crystal item three, and to the highest tier (Crystal Durasha, Crystal Mata and the Legendary sets) four.
Coming soon Transfer opens in an upcoming update. The fee is taken only when the transfer succeeds.
Sockets
Set gems into an item's sockets at the Altar. To take a gem out, Reclaim pays Rupiah or Taney and puts the gem back in your bag at once. Destroy is free, and the gem is gone.
