TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Lost Codex (“Game”) provided by Storia Interactive (“we,” “us,” “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, downloading, installing, or playing the Game, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full.
If you do not agree, you must not register, access, or play.

1) ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

• By registering an account or launching the Game, you agree to be bound by these Terms as well as our Privacy Policy.
• We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

2) ELIGIBILITY

• Players must be at least 13 years old.
  Minors require parental or guardian consent.
• By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3) ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP & CONTROL

• All accounts, characters, in-game items, and virtual currency remain the property of Storia Interactive.
• We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to access the Game. You do not “own” your account, characters, or virtual goods.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms or for any other valid reason that threatens the integrity of the Game.
• Account sharing or transferring without notice is discouraged and done at your own risk.

4) PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  Any actions taken under your account will be treated as your responsibility.
• You must comply with all in-game rules and community guidelines issued by us.

5) PROHIBITED CONDUCT

The following actions are prohibited and can lead to warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans without prior notice:

• Bug abuse / Exploits: Using unintended game errors, glitches, or exploits to gain unfair advantage.
• Third-party tools: Using bots, hacks, macros, scripts, or any software that modifies gameplay or automates actions.
• Harassment & toxic behavior: Threatening, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory chat or actions against other players.
• Impersonation: Pretending to be another player, moderator, or staff.
• Fraud & chargebacks: Attempting to commit payment fraud or reverse legitimate payments.
• Spamming or disrupting gameplay: Any activity that disrupts fair play or server stability.

6) REAL-MONEY TRADING (RMT)

• RMT is permitted in The Lost Codex. Players may buy or sell in-game items, accounts, or currency for real-world money at their own risk.
• We do not mediate or guarantee the safety of RMT transactions. All transactions are solely between the players involved.
• We will not provide support for disputes, scams, or losses arising from RMT transactions.
• We reserve the right to restrict or ban any player who uses RMT to facilitate fraudulent, illegal, or disruptive activities.

7) ENFORCEMENT & PENALTIES

• We have the full authority to determine whether a rule has been violated.
• Enforcement actions may include warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent bans, or deletion of accounts.
• Decisions regarding rule violations and penalties are final and not subject to appeal unless we decide otherwise at our sole discretion.
• Compensation will not be provided for banned or deleted accounts, including any purchased virtual goods.

8) PAYMENTS & DONATION POLICY

• All purchases for in-game packages, items, or currency are treated as donations to support the ongoing development and maintenance of The Lost Codex.
• By completing a payment, you acknowledge that you are making a voluntary contribution to support game development.
• All donations are final and strictly non-refundable, regardless of in-game outcomes, account bans, or any future changes to the Game.
• Transactions are processed via PayPal, GCash, Maya, GoTyme, or official bank transfers only.
• Chargebacks or fraudulent disputes will result in immediate account suspension or permanent banning.

9) GAME SERVICE & AVAILABILITY

• We may modify, patch, or discontinue game content or features at any time.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• Maintenance, updates, or emergencies may result in temporary downtime.

10) LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER

• We are not liable for any loss of progress, virtual goods, or data caused by account compromise, player negligence, technical issues, or rule violations.
• The Game is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

11) GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Philippine courts.
